More balloons and a crazy week

Here are some more balloons taken from my back yard. This is not all that were up.

The bottom picture was taken from my work. Right out side our back door. Keeping 21 kinders away from the window and focused on learning is hard.
Taken this morning.  Not sure what  shape it is. Looks like a captain or something.

This B17 is also flying around Albuquerque. It's here for a movie but flies over the house  twice a day.

This hawk was in my neighbors tree this morning. He made a lot of noise and was there a long time.

This week has been crazy. On Wednesday our school was in a shelter in place all day. Three buses  could not take kids home, so they stayed till way after 5 p.m. till parents could pick them up. M had a football game on Thursday night, on Friday part of the band played live for the sports news (very late night), Saturday worked all day at the speedway, Sunday 2 of my kids were in an auto accident.  Both are sore, but K's back  is really hurting so we are off to the doctors today. I am hoping he just needs a stronger pain medication, maybe a massage and nothing else. E's car has some damage, but is still drive able. She seems fine.

Traffic is heavy with all the people involved/attending the balloon fiesta, do better head out now.

It's that time of the year

It's the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta

I made a quilt that is quilted. I got to use my new walking foot. The only problem I had was it really was hard to fit in the machine. It measures 42" x 45". I think it came out good.
 The front.
The back.

Now I need to start one for a boy. A little thing like working 2 jobs is getting in the way. And football games/band.

More pictures of the balloons  to come.

A quilt I am working on between jobs and my kids activity.

My kid, ready for band performance at the football games.

Will be back in a month. Between 2 jobs and now football season I hope to get some sewing in. For being a busy year I have turned in 61 items to the BH home, more than I have in years past.

Learning everyday

I did sew, but blogging on a tablet  is not easy.
So,

I got a new laptop,  hopefully I can blog more often. I just need to learn a few things. Also, got an iPad for work. Too much technology for this gal.

A little more of Taos, New Mexico

Back at work with 22 new 4/5 year olds. They are a loud and energetic group.

There has been some sewing, but those pictures are on a different device.

I will leave you with some pictures
of the Rio Grande Gorge. Taos, New Mexico.

Still no sewing

OK, I have done a little sewing. Made a top and a half for me (need to finish), 2 fleece pull overs for the BH kiddos, napkins for camping and working on a quilt.
I have been off work from school for three week, but head back to school tomorrow for the K+3 program. We will start the first day of school with 22 kids in our class. This will be our class till May 2016. I also work on the weekends at the race track doing concessions.  Makes for long weeks.

These air planes were at the Atomic museum where our Boy Scouts Troop did an Eagle Project planting trees.

Trees planted.
My Matt got in the photo.

No sewing

Let me restate that. No sewing for the BH house. I missed all the meetings in May. May was busy with the end of the school year.

Here are some pictures in the canyon headed to Taos.

Till next time.

Take care,

Erlinda
